Acetonitrile

Acetonitrile (CH3CN) is the simplest organic nitrile. It is a commonly used polar aprotic solvent for organic reactions and the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and perfumes; used as a mobile phase in HPLC; available in various reagent grades.
